Is it so wrong of me to read this article with unholy glee?
Ummm…no, I think NOT, considering my parents initially regarded my birth in the USA with some disappointment.
They eventually changed their minds, but now you see why the male : female ratio in China is 117:100 (and you thought we were good at math *snort*)

NYPL’s Riverdale Library has two new lions guarding the entrance; a very generous gift from our friends at the Loews Regency Hotel.
We need your help naming them and the deadline is Friday! Visit the event page to learn more or check out the article on The New York Times’ City Room blog. Just remember that Patience and Fortitude are already taken!
To my whopping FOUR followers, please spread the word. Chasing Charlie, my first novel is available for FREE on Smashwords.com. Price change will take place on other retailers soon. Smashwords offers a variety of document formats to fit your needs. I don’t plan on charging for the book again, unless it becomes wildly popular (Juno: Dream big!).
Please take a second to reblog this. All I’d really like is for my book to get out there. For that to happen, I need readers and for those who finish the book to leave a review with their thoughts. Please help a friend out. Thanks! My marketing skills suck, I know.
If you’re thinking, “What have I got to lose?” the answer is nothing! You’re helping me out just by downloading a free copy, believe it or not. Did I mention it’s free? Tell everyone you know!
Thanks!,…
